I agree awardspace.com is a very good hosting company I don’t know about the rest but this one works more than fine for me. It has PHP, perl, Python, CGI, MySQL data base and all other features you may need to make a fully functional site

Why would anyone want to use a free host? Should it be assumed that you can’t use your own domain name? I’d rather control the branding.

I have been using FortuneCity for more than 7 years. They are absolutely awful. They’ve really hit the downward spiral this last 2 years or so. I have just completed moving the 10 sites I manage to other providers. I’m sticking with pay-for services from now on. They’re so cheap, they’re virtually free; and you avoid the craptastic support most free providers offer.

- 1GB space

- NoADS (I think they only want a “Powered by Joolo” in the footer)

I use ProfuseHost. and i m completely satisfied with it, the only thing is you will have to put up with customized ads, which is okay for my personal website.
