Hi Scotty, I’m glad you ask! We do plan to add more hosts to our ongoing review. We’ve set up our testing infrastructure so that we can run all the performance testing on a regular basis, currently aiming for monthly. This way we always reflect the latest performance data and we can track how the performance of each host changes over time.
I was just using WHB as an example. The fact that GoDaddy was included is in fact troublesome. Not to mention that the title of your article amounts to clickbait because it’s not comprehensive, and it’s clearly not “the best” I’d expect GoDaddy to not be on any article that describes “The Best…” of anything.
I’ve done enough research on HostGator and Bluehost and I can’t agree with your recommendation, not only for the fact that they were swallowed by the EIG. As well as their mediocre support, Bluehost in particular is too expensive for what little they offer.
It couldn’t be easier to get started using WordPress when you choose A2 Hosting. Trust us! All you need to do is sign up with a hosting account with us. WordPress will come pre-installed on your account. That means you don’t have to worry about downloading WordPress install files and uploading them to your account.
At first, I was really impressed that WP Engine had a built-in content delivery network. As we have a paid account with CloudFlare, I was looking forward to moving our CDN under the same roof as our hosting with WP Engine.
The good news is that the hosting market has never been more competitive. A new generation of WordPress-focused companies have emerged who’ve raised the bar considerably in terms of price and performance.
Upon reflection, we would lean away from Bluehost on the grounds of a clunky backend interface, comparatively poor WordPress installation tools, slightly erratic performance and inflexible long-term contract requirements.
Every client on a shared server shares hosting space. Most companies can initially promise reliability because they’re planning on your site generating an average amount of traffic. But if you exceed the allotted bandwidth regularly on a shared plan, the provider will require you to upgrade to a higher plan. You can find more specific usage restrictions in each web host’s Terms of Service document.
Avoiding web hosting scams: There are web hosting service provider sites which offer huge to unlimited amounts of web space and bandwidth. Frankly, do not believe in inflated claims such as unlimited web space or unlimited bandwidth. Simply this is someth…
Their chat support is not a “technical” supports at all, what they usually do is to create a ticket for you when you have issues with your site. A2Hosting can’t help you with urgent needs which is very important especially if you encounter issues with your site that needs immediate help. Their chat supports is also very few and you wait very long to be catered.
Go to https://ca.godaddy.com/, log in to “My account” and choose Managed WordPress Hosting from your list of products. Type http://coolexample.com/wp-admin, where coolexample.com is your domain name, and that will take you directly to the Admin login screen.
Used by millions, from corner stores to Fortune 500 firms, WordPress is the world’s most popular blogging tool. Whether you’re looking for a simple blog or a full-featured website, you’ve come to the right place.
In particular, Web Hosting Hub uses BoldGrid as a site builder. BoldGrid is actually an add-on to WordPress, so there’s no lock-in. This overcomes the major problem of most site builders: you’re locked into that host and that tool, often requiring you to completely rebuild your site if you want to expand. By using a WordPress-based solution, all of the rather considerable power of WordPress is available for future expansion.
GoDaddy’s YSlow grade jumped back up to 82 from 80 in the previous round of testing. In context though 82 is a decent score for a stock standard WordPress install with no special optimizations, and still compares favorably with the other hosts we track.
I’m not using it on this site right now because we are too big for the free plan, and we already pay for a managed service with WP Engine which includes caching, CDN and SSL. That said I am actively considering it if only for the security benefits. And for small businesses and personal blogs I do think Cloudflare is a great way to improve your site performance and security. Hope that helps.
FatCow’s web host services are served by two Boston-area data centers. Combined, they occupy over 2400 square feet of space, comprised of over 800 Servers and half a petabyte of storage … and growing, fast! Our network infrastructure is comprised of a pooled server environment, which gives virtually any server on our network the ability to access Web site files when a request occurs. This means that the first machine available will be the one to serve a customer’s Web pages, giving our customer incredibly fast load times and fewer service interruptions than our competition.
Your loading speeds will be much faster on WordPress in comparison to some other shared hosting sites. This is also true for your uptime. It’s also more secure because you’ve got a support team of WordPress experts to back you up if your website is attacked. Plus, your server will always be up to date.
Multacom is another pro-oriented service provider. As you can see, they’re upfront with their offering of a full rack that’s rentable in their facility. You can also rent half a rack, a quarter of a cabinet, or even co-locate just one server in their facility. They provide a full 20 amps of power to each cabinet, initial setup, and free IPKVM and remote reboot on request.
Overall, we were impressed with how customer-centric the company’s offerings are. For example, unlike some of the hosting providers we’ve profiled (and deducted points from), MochaHost’s published prices don’t balloon once you’ve settled in with their service. They have a lifetime price-lock guarantee.

As noted above, because of a DNS propagation issue we actually made a mistake with one of our tests so we ran Site5 through the gamut again, and again they did very well. While their minimum response time was higher than initially reported, their max response time was lower than we initially reported. Throughout the majority of the ten minute load testing, Site5’s server response time stayed steady at 750ms to 1 second with only a handful of deviations.
Once you decide what pages you will have, comes the part that stumps most people, content. The best way to tackle content is to collect information and collateral you already have and assign it to pages.
You do not have to click on any of my affiliate links. It’s all fine. But jut to tease you a bit, you should know that many companies run limited time offers exclusive to visitors coming through affiliate links.
A2 Optimized is a product of our team of WordPress experts who noticed a concerning trend of users loading their WordPress sites down with plugins to try and get the fastest, most secure setup possible. Unfortunately, in most instances, too many plugins can actually make a WordPress install slower and less secure. That’s because each installed plugin generally slows down a WordPress site and many times these plugins are not updated often enough. Out of date plugins make WordPress sites particularly vulnerable to exploits.
The C-Panel interface is relatively easy to use, although it’s near impossible to find your name servers – which are not the same for every package you subscribe to. That’s not a problem if your domains are registered with them, but I work with clients who have already registered domains using other services.
Hi Charles, I see some hosting companies offer WordPress hosting and shared hosting for about same price and the shared hosting plans also appearance to include WordPress. I’m a bit confused about which I should choose?!
